Meet and Code 2023 Experience: Kids Life Skills

Kids Life Skills looks back on the Meet and Code 2023 Edition.

Kids Life Skills is one of the organizations that took part in the 2023 edition of Meet and Code. Here's a look back at their experience and the three projects funded.

Some words on Kids Life Skills

'When we were young, our parents didn't know which skills we'd need growing up.' Many of the jobs available today didn't even exist 15-20 years ago. Skills like independent thinking and autonomous learning are therefore extremely important because they allow a young person to adapt to the challenges they come across. Coding represents the perfect combination of such fundamental skills, while pushing creativity and co-operation to whole new levels.

Kids Life Skills aims to help prepare your child for their future to give them the best odds in an increasingly digital world.

Kids Life Skills was launched in December 2018 with the aim of teaching children the key skills they will likely need to become successful in the tech-heavy future. Co-founder Ronen Event Tzur says: “Technical skills such as computer programming and life skills such as self-learning and problem solving are becoming more and more important across most professions. We focus on teaching these skills to our children to help prepare them for the challenges and opportunities in their future careers.”

This was one of our biggest events to date of course it being the 5th year of Kids Life Skills existence. We wanted it to be a special day and planned 4 activities for all age groups 4-13. We were able to guide the different groups through all activities in their preferred language and each participant left more curious and excited and was of course awarded a well deserved prize. The same principle applied here in that we aimed to expose the participants to logical thinking techniques in a fun and engaging way. Furthermore it is important also for us to inspire kids to work as a team and learn from each other as well as us learning from their insight and creativity.
