On June 1st, we opened the registration for the 4th edition of Meet and Code. In our wildest dreams we couldn’t have imaged how many of you would register - we received more than 1730 applications!
We are extremely excited and grateful that so many of you want to share your knowledge and experience with coding with children. You are doing a lot of good and we are more than happy to help you execute your plans and ideas. All your events are inspiring and motivational. Some of the ideas that you presented were exceptional - Creating Games on NES Consoles; Programming in Minecraft; Technology in Nature, STEM Education; Girls Code; and many many more. That is why we cannot wait to see what kids that benefit from your events will achieve in the future. You are the people who shape and create future visioners.
Meet and Code Award 2020
This year, you could again take part in our Meet and Code Award. Among all the applications, 897 were signed up for the Award in our five categories. When it comes to numbers, your events split like this:
Girls do IT! - 167 events;
Diversity - 166;
Code for the Planet - 167;
Community - 287;
and our newest category:
Code for Europe - 110.
2 months of coding
Meet and Code 2020 coding events will last until the end of October. September was full of amazing events and we are extremely thrilled to see what next month will bring us. We hope that you all succeed with sharing the love of coding and empowering a generation with us!
