Descriere A significant amount of our pupils are socially disadvantaged and our school is in a disadvantaged area.
There are low levels of after school provision and technology is not a priority in homes.
Due to lack of resources, our school would benefit greatly from funding to help facilitate professional development and training in STEM subjects and ICT.
Our aim is to upskill a group of older pupils initially in the use of CODING and enable them to explore how this programme is used.
Also, to develop expressive and creative skills, to develop confidence and mathematical abilities in these areas.

We would also plan to include older siblings or parents in this event and team teach where the tutor would enable the pupils and their parents to upskill and develop ICT skills and knowledge.

The data collated in June of last year reflects areas for development in the use of ICT and handling data in particular.

A more far ranging use of ICT would help improve our children's use of technology, exploring data bases and working through various packages- not least the coding workshop.

Staff (not lease ancillary staff) would benefit from engaging in this workshop and would learn skills to help the pupils on an ongoing basis even beyond the remit of this programme.

Children with additional needs always benefit from using assistive technology.
