The aim of the competition, which is run by the European Commission, is to put the spotlight on projects that contribute to the development of digital skills in Europe.

Meet and Code as the Finalist in Digital Skills in Education Category
The European Digital Skills Awards 2018 recognize initiatives that have improved Europeans’ digital skills at school, at work, for ICT specialists, for girls and women and society in general. Meet and Code competed in the category Digital skills in education – transforming the teaching and learning of digital skills in a lifelong learning perspective, including the training of teachers.

ICT2018 Conference in Vienna
Overall, 264 projects were considered in the five categories of this year's awards. We are proud to have been selected as a finalist and one out of six best practices for digital skills in education. As one of the finalists, our team presented the Meet and Code project during the ICT2018 Conference in Vienna on 5th and 6th December. The Awards were presented by Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society on 6th December 2018.
