Amazon Future Engineer: Class Chats (EN)

Class Chats are virtual career talks. They bring an Amazon volunteer into the classroom to share insights about working at a large tech company. Exposing students to in-demand careers and diverse career role models can bring them new possibilities, inspiration, and motivation.
Originally developed for schools, Class Chats can also be used for Meet and Code workshops, for example at the beginning or end of the workshop, to inspire the participants, provide career guidance and highlight the many different opportunities in the world of tech and other future skills needed. There are two possibilities for a Class Chat: A live interactive session or an on-demand pre-recorded video
In the Live broadcast Class Chats, the Amazon employee will discuss their career path and day-to-day responsibilities, as well as answer students' career questions. Class Chats are free and aim to expose students to in-demand tech careers and diverse role models. You simply need internet access, a computer/projector, and speakers. Recordings of previous live events can be accessed on the website. Class Chats are designed for secondary school students, last 30-45 minutes, and require just basic technology setup. The program provides a unique opportunity for students to explore future career possibilities. When registering for a Class Chat you can just insert the name of your organization and Meet and Code instead of the name of the school.

The On-demand Class Chats program offers you pre-recorded, interactive video sessions with Amazon employees that can be accessed at any time. These on-demand Class Chats allow students to explore careers at their own pace. The sessions include an Amazon employee sharing insights about their role and career journey, as well as a related student activity, debrief, and handouts. You receive a toolkit with the video recording, activity materials, model answers, and glossaries. On-demand Class Chats expose students to diverse tech industry role models and possible future careers without coordinating a live event.
