Artificial Intelligence Based IoT Projects Workshop on BBC Micro:bit


Description The proposed event will be held over six hours with a break of 1 hour and will be for participants in the age group of 8 years to 18 years. The event will be free and open to all members of the public.

The face-to-face mentor-led workshop will be carried on by using tools like Scratch, Codeblock and Micro:Python on BBC micro:bit through hands-on projects with live streaming.

The major attractions/ highlights of the events are:

• Hands-on project instructions to be provided for 8 years to 18 years old people guided by the mentor Dr. Sujit Bhattacharya (PhD, ME, BE, SMIEEE, FIETE).

• Talks on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet-on-Things (IoT) by available experts from the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London.

• Basic hands-on projects through Scratch and Codeblock. Advanced projects through Micro:Python.

• Demonstration and use of 3D drawing package to create 3D models.

• Demonstration and use of DroidScript App to create a small app for the IoT project on BBC micro:bit.

• Opportunity to make presentations on their developed projects.

• Projects based on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
