Description
The proposed online event will be for participants in the age group of 8 to 18 years. The event will be free and open to all members of the public.
The mentor-led workshops will be carried out using sensors like light, sound, accelerometer, etc. and its interface with various microcontrollers like BBC Micro:bit, Raspberry Pi Pico, etc. based on block programming and Micro:python.
The major attractions or highlights of the events are:
• Hands-on project instructions to be provided for 8- to 18 years old people guided by the mentor Dr. Sujit Bhattacharya (PhD, ME, BE, SMIEEE, FIETE, MIET).
• Insight into various physical elements to measure light, sound, temperature, magnetism, gravity, etc.
• Detailed theory of operations of various sensors like light, sound, acceleration, magnetism, moisture, etc.
• Electrical interface of these sensors with popular microcontrollers like BBC Micro:bit, Raspberry Pi Pico.
• Programming techniques to get data from these sensors to create various STEM projects.
• Demonstration of various projects based on these sensors and microcontrollers.
• Projects to be based on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Registration invitation will be announced on the website and other social media.
