Programming for all

Cubert School PTFA

Description We want to deliver programming sessions for under-represented and disadvantaged children that will improve their knowledge, skills and understanding in this area. We want these children to be able to successfully navigate the world of code and open their eyes to the different ways in which programming can be used to be creative. Many of our children are unable to access these specific technologies at home and we would love to provide relevant opportunities through an exciting hands-on Computing curriculum.

Aims:

* Deliver coding proficiency to children who may not have encountered such concepts so far in life.
* Plug the digital skills gap for children in under-represented and disadvantaged groups.
* Deliver programming proficiency to all groups, including those with special educational needs and disabilities through hardware that they will enjoy and engage with.
