Bare foot Computing

Barnabas Safe and Sound

Description We will be running 3 session for 3 different age groups on Saturday 13th October
We will do some 'bare foot computing' ( which is basically programming skills and theory through tasks and games not on the computer) Learning about algorithms with activities such as Robot controlled artwork, 'Jambot' and sorting by dance & movement etc this builds computational thinking skills which are not only the building blocks of learning to code but are useful life skills which can help young people throughout their learning journeys.

We will also be experimenting with programming robots using various drag and drop programmes - such as Scratch, Lego Wedo, Bee Bots and Meet Edison.

We are hoping that this day of Jambotting will lead to a regular programme of activities using our new media suite.
