Micro:bit training

WEDDINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

Description The children will receive micro:bit training to learn different ways of using these devices for practical and fun purposes.
The goal of the event is to raise interest in coding and computing amongst our Year 6 cohort and to showcase real-life applications of computing and coding
Year 6 are our target year group. This year group has several children with English as their second language and others from disadvantaged and minority backgrounds.
With computer science becoming ever more prominent within high schools and future careers, we are keen to provide our children with experiences that develop a passion for computer science. We believe that demonstrations of fun applications of physical coding are an ideal platform for bringing our vision to life.
