Coding training for KS2

St. James's Primary School

Description Coding and computational thinking will be taught to KS2 pupils and staff.
Face to face training will take place. We want to invest in this training to make pupils and teachers more confident in learning and teaching coding through the use of microbits.
Our target group are young children from the ages of 8 to 11. We have a large mix of religions and cultures within our school and have many families from socially deprived backgrounds.
Microbits are a new device used for coding which the children are unsure of how to use. This training will benefit them within their ICT learning journey. It will give them an opportunity to learn coding, which is something they wouldn't not have the opportunity to do at home.
