Crumble Pie!

St. Finian's Catholic Primary

Description We would like to put the money towards a Crumble Kit to have a Crumble Pie Day! (Which would then continue for the rest of the term...)

We want children to passionate about Coding!

We loaned a kit this term from the local teachcomutinghub but we were only allowed it for 4 weeks and the development in their programming and scratch skills was outstanding!

We would use the Crumble Kit with the current Year 6 and buddy them with the Year 5 so they can teach them how to use the kit.

Target objectives:
1. design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems; solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts
2. use sequence, selection, and repetition in programs; work with variables and various forms of input and output
3. use logical reasoning to explain how some simple algorithms work and to detect and correct errors in algorithms and programs

This equipment has never been used by the current Year 4 and they will experience it for the first time. The Year 5 would get the chance to develop their skills and create moving toys to share with their younger buddies in KS1.

We would like to inspire future coders and programmers, especially the girls as they see it as a 'boys activity!'
