Learn how to code the Imagi Charm using a text based programming language for the first time

Part 1: Introduction to Imagi charms
What is Computational Thinking?
What is Python?
What can you make?

Part 2: Use Python to program the pixels of an 8x8 matrix. Extend to include colours

Part 3: Organise sets of instructions to draw images into a function

Goals:
The introduce text based coding and develop skills using Imagi charms.
To provide opportunities for girls to participate equally

Target students:
Girls (although boys are also welcome to attend).
Girls do IT! This event will aim to promote gender equality by encouraging girls' interest in coding.
This event will be open to students in Key Stage 3 who are interested in learning more about coding. The event will run for a full day - the date will depend on the school calendar

The event will be well suited to the target group as I will use existing students from our school to work with groups as good visible role models. The girls supporting will be KS4 and KS5
