Description
We’d like to use £1,200 of funding to run a two-day (12 hour) coding project experience for disadvantaged children (23% of our school are pupil premium). To do this, we’ll use Code Camp UK’s staff to deliver a game making course in school. The two day project allows children to create their own games from the ground up using drop-and-drag coding. Children will learn about variables, loops, algorithms, maths and problem solving through visual coding. This is not something we are currently able to offer at our school as we don’t have the resources/specialist teachers/software to be able to do this. Furthermore, as a school with 23% of pupil premium students, this is something that parents are unlikely to be able to fund.
