Description
We’d like to use £1,200 of funding to run a two-day (12 hour) coding project experience for children from a disadvantaged background. To do this, we’ll use Code Camp UK’s staff to deliver a game making course in school. The two day project allows children to create their own games from the ground up using drop-and-drag coding. Children will learn about variables, loops, algorithms, maths and problem solving through visual coding. This is not something we are currently able to offer at our school as we don’t have the resources/specialist teachers/software to be able to do this. 10% of our student population are pupil premium, so we'll select children from this population for this project.
