Get €500 to fund your coding event. Starting today, May 22nd, non-profit organizations can submit their proposals for workshops, lectures, hackathons, coding competitions, and more! This year, the application window is extended until September 30th, giving you more time to craft your dream event, which must be hosted from June 17 to October 31.
Here’s what you need to know:
Who can participate? Anyone with a passion for code and digital skills can get involved! Schools, IT professionals, nonprofit organizations and even computer clubs can design events for children and youth aged 8-24. However, the official event organizer needs to be a charitable organization to secure funding.
You may wonder what type of digital skills event you should host and what format it should be in. Let your imagination run wild! From in-person coding bootcamps to hackathons to app development, the possibilities are endless. And remember, as our goal is to provide #digitalskills4all, we especially welcome events held for youth from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds. You can choose a hybrid approach to reach a wider audience or host your event in person or only online.
Now is the time to create digital skills magic in 13 European countries! Meet and Code is happening in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
Meet and Code Awards are back!
We’ll also be awarding the most creative and successful events across three categories in the Meet and Code Awards. These awards not only recognize excellence but also inspire future events to close the digital skills gap.
This year's awards focus on three categories aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
