Coding for KS2 Girls

Beschrijving We are looking to boost the understanding and participation of KS2 children, especially girls, within the ever important area of computational thinking and coding. We would like to deliver a sequence of sessions that will unlock the power of code creation for these young children, inspiring them to get involved and understand that careers in programming can be exciting and lead to many diverse opportunities. We would like to obtain a number of resources that will grab the attention and inspire young girls, and allow for sessions that include numerous different coding options and applications.

Goals:

* Full engagement from target groups of girls across numerous ages in KS2 (ages 8 to 11).
* Deliver an event that is special through use of interesting resources and targeted at girls (resources and employment prospects are diverse in nature, away from usual resourcing)
* Event will be delivered in a series of weekly sessions and will then be pursued through code club initiatives throughout the rest of the year.
