This Design Marathon will introduce teenagers to UX/UI Design skills and use Figma to give practical assignments, with a possibility of mentoring or course sponsorship to enable further development for those who show the most potential and interest. Each of the two Design Marathons will take place over four days with a workshop leader and a specialized trainer, enabling a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 50 young people to participate for free.
The participants will be teenagers who were displaced by war, who live in care or foster families, or who use crisis centers for support: they will be invited to join in for free through our existing network.
The course was selected and designed to be accessible to our target group. UX/UI Design is a creative discipline that many young people can engage with and offers good career prospects. It requires no specilaised initial knowledge; everything is taught progressively from scratch.
