Beschreibung
Our aim in this event is to expose the participants ages 4-13 to a variety of programming methods with the help of different robotic and tech tools in a fun and interactive format. The event is held on a Saturday and marks the start of the new school year. Several stations will be set up in the area available at the location. Station 1 and 2 will present one to two different robots each, and will offer the participants an activity to explain how the robots operate and how they are programmed. This will be done in small groups of 4-6 participants at a time, in order for them to have plenty of time for hands-on trial and error programming of the robots. Furthermore participating kids will have the opportunity to learn to interact with screens in a creative and mentally challenging way as opposed to simply watching passively. The third station is geared toward the youngest participants and presents a simple and fun activity with Primo. They will be able to get a hands-on feel for logical thinking and sequencing with the guidance of the instructor.
We will have an area on the shopping mall floor at our disposal and will set up the following experiences in each:
Station 1: Sphero and Indie Maze and Race
Station 2: Botley Discovery and Activities
Station 3: Primo
Registration to the event will be opened on our website, several event platforms and our social media. The registration and participation is free. Based on our past experience we expect around 100-130 participating kids in the event.
