After a successful start in 2017, Meet and Code will enter its second cycle. In order to prepare children and young people for the digital world of tomorrow, we are funding digital and coding events of all kinds during the EU Code Week from October 6 to 21, 2018. From IT workshops to robot courses, to events with trendsetting subjects like Artificial Intelligence or Work 4.0, non-profit organisations can receive up to 500 € for support of their EU Code Week event.
After a number of events across Europe in 2017, the Meet and Code initiative has now reached the UK! Tech Trust, the UK partner for this initiative will be offering grant-funding of €500 for youth-based charities to set up and run their very own coding events across the country. Let's see if we can match the success that our European partners saw last year now that UK applications are open!
Are you a charitable organisation that would like to organise a digital/coding event for young people between ages 8 and 24? Whether it’s a workshop, hackathon or another format – there are no limits on how to structure your event. Do you already have an idea? Then you're ready to get going and register your organisation! You will need your exemption notice or another proof of your non-profit status as well as the IBAN and BIC of your organisation.
To submit an event, first sign up your non-profit organisation and select your username and password. This will allow you to log back in later to manage your user account. Your submitted event will be reviewed according to the accepted criteria and we will notify you by email about the funding decision.
